This is a friendly, fairly quiet park, convenient to Flagstaff and easy to get to from highway 89. The sites are large and roomy enough to park the truck next to the trailer. The main downside is that the sites are lava-rock type red gravel which isn't too appealing for sitting outside and makes a mess when you track it inside on your shoes, especially if it rains. But we like this park for an overnight or two on our way through the area. It's the best we've found in Flagstaff, despite the high price. Good cable TV and decent Wi-Fi; not all sites would be good for satellite reception. They fill up in the summer and on spring and fall weekends, so make a reservation.

It's hard to rate this place since we arrived late in the day and were only here one night. But it looks like a nice place to spend some time, with lots of shade trees and near to recreational activities and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Earlier reports of 50 amp power available are incorrect: they only have 20-30 amp. We had an escort to our site, which we really didn't need, but was nice and we had room to park our truck next to the trailer. If we were here longer we would be a bit disappointed in the outdoor space available at each site, but there's plenty of room elsewhere to relax. It's in the middle of nowhere, with few shopping or other resources around, so stock up before you get here, and don't rely on a GPS to get you there. Our GPS never heard of Jacob Lake or this campground. They appear to be open all year round, although the north rim of the Grand Canyon is closed from October 15 to May 15: there are other winter attractions in the area.

I can just agree with previous positive comments. This park is quiet, well-run and does, indeed, have more space between sites than I think any other park we've stayed at. The site was more than ample for our truck and trailer and was pretty level. No big trees where we were, but good satellite reception. The free breakfast was a nice bonus, although they have just discontinued it for the season after our second day there. Arco is a cute little town, but has limited shopping, so you might want to stock up before you get here if you have need for anything other than the basics. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived on the back of a tow truck for an unplanned stay after our truck broke down on the road. The people in the office were great at getting us set up right away and putting us in a site that was easy for the tow truck to negotiate to get the trailer situated. The site we were in was long enough and fairly level. They have low wood panels behind each site's hookups so you don't feel like they are right in your face when you're outside. There is some grass between each site, spacious enough but not overly generous. The laundry appears to double as a laundromat for the town and has a huge number of machines, cheap in comparison to other places we've been. It's about average for a KOA, but we've been in nicer ones. The main advantage for us was its proximity to the Ford dealer.

Very quiet, spacious park with nice owners who seem to work very hard to keep the place nice. Price was surprisingly low for a KOA. When we got here, there were few people and we liked that they spaced new arrivals out, rather than putting them next to occupied sites. As we approached a weekend, it got more crowded and we had neighbors on both sides but the space between sites was pretty good so we didn't feel too crowded. Water pressure was variable and sometimes pretty low, especially in the morning. Nice location; convenient to a national forest area, so you get quite a few people with ATVs but they seemed to be quiet and respectful of their neighbors. We'd stay here again.

This is a fine park, conveniently located between Cody and Yellowstone. It's not luxurious: there is no grass anywhere as it's basically a gravel parking lot with hookups. The sites could be farther apart. On the other hand they're angled so that you aren't looking in your neighbor's window. They do have a pool and a hot tub, although we didn't use them. We had breakfast one day in the restaurant (with our discount coupons) and it was fine but we didn't eat there any other time. The scenery is beautiful and even though it's on the highway it's pretty quiet. We'd probably stay here again if we were going into Yellowstone from this direction, since the drive is a short one. They take Passport but not for full hookups, so it's pricey, but so is everything in this area. We didn't have any trouble with the Wi-Fi. The prior poster's problem must have been a temporary one.

It's hard to rate this campground, so my rating is essentially neutral. I agree with most of the prior comments: sites are tight for anything over 35' and some are difficult to get into because of trees across the road that restrict your movement, but it's doable. We had to park our truck down the road because the way we had to angle our trailer to fit, left no room for the truck, but we had ample room for our slides and awning. The sewer connections are raised and difficult to use but if you have a support for your hose and use care in dumping, they work. If you have a big rig, reserve early, arrive early in the day, check out your site and, if it doesn't work, I think the office staff will try to relocate you if they can. In other words, if you're flexible and patient, don't expect a resort and are willing to put up with a little inconvenience to stay in a central location with full hook-ups, this place works fine. We'd definitely come back here.

As said before: this is an OK park for a short stay but I wouldn't want to be here for long. It appears the short-term-stay sites are all near the office (it's a pretty big park but appears to be mostly long-term occupants)and noisy. The freeway noise isn't too bad and can usually be ignored, but the radio from the office all day is annoying (we asked them to turn it off one evening and they did, but we didn't think we should have to ask every day). There's also a lot of traffic in and out, people moving around: just a lot of activity. But the sites are pretty level; ours wasn't quite long enough for us to park our truck, but there were parking spaces nearby. The water pressure is great. We only used the Wi-Fi a little bit and it was OK but not outstanding; we didn't use the cable TV. It's convenient to the highway; our GPS took us to the completely wrong place, so use the Trailer Life directions if you can: they are accurate, although the street names are a bit confusing.

If you want to stay in Medora, you don't have many choices. If you have a big rig, you have fewer. We had a "pull through" site, which meant we were the first to arrive in a double site with someone backing in behind us. They cram in as many rigs as they possibly can in this park. The showers, although "clean", could have been cleaner and had minimal services. The office staff was either very accommodating and friendly or indifferent and barely responsive, depending on who was there. Interior roads are tight but doable for a large rig but you might have to ask your neighbor to move a vehicle to get in or out of your site. It appeared to us that they turn away several-to-many rigs every day during the high season, so make reservations in advance. That said, we'd do Medora and the TR National Park from Dickinson (30 miles away) rather than stay here again. The packed-in sites and the train noise from the railroad were, ultimately, too much for us.

It may be because the season is nearly over in this part of the country: but when we were here, this place was nearly empty except for a collection of rigs that looked to belong to workers in the area. Nonetheless, when we were the only rig in our row, another rig was parked right next to us for the night. There's no reason for that and it annoys us. Other than that, the park was OK but not great. When we arrived, early in the afternoon, there was no one in the office and no note on the door to tell us where to go (we had a reservation). Finally, after we had asked some people working on a car nearby where the manager was, someone came out and told us our paperwork was in the Night Registration box. It would have been nice to have a note on the door to that effect. Then we had to go back later to register, as the office was closed until 4 p.m. Our site was long enough to accommodate our truck and 36' fifth wheel; there was grass and a picnic table next to it and the sites weren't as close together as we've seen them. There's no shade, which is good for satellite TV and internet reception, but it can get hot in this area. We saved some money by not having a sewer hookup for the two nights we were here; but this campground still seems expensive for what you get. Typical KOA pricing, even if it is no longer a KOA. Also, signage directing you to the park is nonexistent until you get right on it, so use the map on their website. Our GPS would have had us in the wrong location, using just the street address.

The rate shown is for Passport America. For the price, it's a great campground. The owners work hard to provide a good experience and mostly, succeed. Sharing a campground with horses and horse trailers is interesting and works well. We only smelled manure a couple of times and we've stayed in campgrounds that didn't have horses that smelled worse for longer. The sites are long, with good space between them, with picnic tables and a fire ring at each site. Maneuvering around the campground is easy. The location is great. The laundry is spotless, with new machines, although a bit small for the number of sites here. It would be a 10 except for a couple of things: the sites are not level. They are terraced and tend to be uneven. We had a problem with a barking dog one night and when we mentioned it to the manager the next morning she said she had heard it and was going to talk to the people but when she went out in the morning she couldn't figure out which rig it was. She should have figured it out during the night, especially since they make a big deal out of telling people with dogs how they need to take care of them and that people with barking dogs will be told to leave. Finally, they never gave us any information about the ice cream social, so we didn't know about it until we read the prior review that mentioned it. Maybe everyone's tired: it is close to the end of the season. For an otherwise well-managed and nice campground, those couple managerial lapses stand out.

This is a no-frills campground. It doesn't have pool, game room, playground, activities or other amenities associated with a destination campground. But for the money it's better than a lot of places we've paid more for. It's not much to look at, and it's clearly a work in progress in many ways, but the pull through sites are very large and pretty quiet. There are some long-term campers here but, other than the noise of trucks leaving very early in the morning, they're neat, quiet and not at all objectionable. The showers and restrooms are immaculate and very nice. The pull through sites have side-by-side hookups and there is grass only on the non-hookup side, which means it can get a bit muddy and messy on the hookup side if it rains. There are no trees to block satellite access but that also means no shade. We stayed here a week and were very happy with it and would return. They do not take credit cards, just cash or a check.

This is a friendly little campground with a good feel to it. It's a bit tight in some places for large rigs, but manageable with care, and the few pull-through spaces are side-by-side hook-ups and on the small side. The back-in spaces along the creek are mostly smaller and could be difficult to get into but the ones in the rest of the park generally have enough space to back in easily. The owners are friendly, always in evidence and helpful. There's a limited-menu restaurant with pretty good food. We didn't fish, but if you do and catch something they'll fry it for you: a nice touch and popular with kids. At high season and on weekends it's very crowded but everyone seems to be having a good time and it just adds to the friendly feeling. We liked it here and would stay again.

The only reason this park doesn't get a 10 is that the dumpster and the laundry are far from the sites. The dumpster is on the way out, so not too bad, but the laundry is on the other side of a lake from the lower part of the campground where the large pull-throughs are. There are a lot of long-term guests here, and they also store RVs for off-season, but everything is neat and well-kept. The pull-through sites are actually double back-ins, with two power poles and sewer connections, but the water may be on the wrong side. As pull-throughs, they are huge, with plenty of room to park whatever you might have in addition to your rig. Nice owners, very quiet park, easy to get around. No cable tv, but super fast wi-fi (at least at our site); no problems with satellite access if you have one. We'd definitely stay here again.

If you're looking for a destination "resort"-type campground, this isn't it. There are lots of semi-permanent residents here and the campground is surrounded by farm machinery, trucks and other equipment either being stored or parked for several days, so it's not terribly attractive, but the sites themselves seem to be fairly clean and well-kept. We had a great time here just chilling for a few days. One slightly negative note: we wanted to extend our stay to a week and asked about the weekly rate, but it's not available unless you book for a week when you check in. But they do take credit cards now, contrary to an earlier post. The sites on one side of the campground are larger than on the other -- our site was plenty large. The sewer connection is at the back of the site, which was a challenge for our hose, but it worked. It's pretty quiet, even though it's right off the interstate, and there are wonderful farm field surrounding the campground so there's no noise or lights from there. We liked it and would stay here again.

This is a parking lot. The "pull through" sites (only two, no sewer) are each along one edge of the lot, have another site behind them and depending on which site you get your hook-ups might be on the wrong side. Most of the back-in sites are occupied by construction workers working in the area and they are crowded and not particularly neat -- one night we were there the entire parking area was filled with large pick-up trucks. The back-in sites are nearly on top of one another. There is noise from the nearby highway (although not too much -- it's not a busy highway) and the railroad. If they have cable TV, no one told us and we didn't see a connection); satellite connection was non-existent because of the trees. We stayed here because we needed to be in the area for a short time, but wouldn't stay again if there were any other choice -- however, choices are limited in this area, especially if you have a big rig. The only good thing is that they have super-fast free wi-fi that reaches all sites.

You could call this a no-frills campground or you could call it good value for the money. We stayed a week and liked it very much. The sites are large (although closer together than I'd like for side-by-side hook-ups), the park hosts are friendly and cooperative, it's quiet and the park is kept neat and clean. There are several people clearly here for the summer (or longer -- working in the area) but there is no junk or trashy look to their sites. It's very conveniently located and, although there's no shade, it's easy for TV and internet satellites to get access. We would definitely stay here again. They don't take credit cards or any discount plans.

On balance, this is a great place to spend a few days. If you have kids and/or want to fish or boat, it's even better. The owners are very friendly and helpful, if a bit casual in the business end of things. They have lots of "extra" charges (for A/C, cable, etc.) but they just asked us what we had used and took our word for it (unlike many places, we paid when we left, not upfront). The pull through sites are a bit short for long rigs and are a bit too close together for my taste, but it's manageable. It does look like they have parking for a tow or towed vehicle in an "overflow" area but lots of people just parked partially in the road. The back-ins for short-term campers looked like they had a bit more room. We had to back into the empty site behind us to get out because of the rigs next to us and vehicles parked across the way. The weekend we arrived the place was packed with a heavy -- and loud -- partying crowd with lots of children running around pretty much unsupervised. This may or may not be a regular summer weekend occurrence, but it was much quieter and pleasant during the week. There are a large number of long-term people here; it looks like a regular summer or vacation spot for many. I'd definitely advise reservations, particularly if you're there over a weekend. We'd probably stay here again but would try to avoid weekends if we could.

Stayed here overnight on our way through Iowa. Easy to get to from the highway and a beautiful setting. Nice large sites with plenty of grass between them and quite a few with open views of the sky for satellite internet or tv dish access. It's expensive, like most KOAs, but has lots of facilities and the whole campground is very well kept and neat. The rules on guests seem a bit excessive but, at least at this time of year, it's a very quiet, peaceful place and I guess they want to keep it that way. The "fishing pond" shown on the map was covered with algae and looked very unappealing. Nonetheless, we'd stay here again.

We haven't seen any of the problems mentioned by the previous poster, but we're just here for the night. We have a large site, clear access for our satellite dishes and the owners/managers seem friendly and helpful. And it's convenient to the Interstate as well as restaurants and shopping. I wouldn't necessarily want to stay here for a long period of time, but if I had to, I don't think it would be a problem. Sites are all gravel, which makes it dusty, but that's not unusual in this part of the world.

Our rating is low primarily because of cost and the attitude of the office staff. This is a great campground if you have kids and want lots of activities for them. If you don’t, it has a number of disadvantages. The cost is high for what you get. Without any discounts (we got a Camp Club discount for weekdays – it doesn’t apply on weekends) for $42 a night you get water and 30 amp electric. They do pick up trash at your site, which is good because there are only two dumpsters (at one location) and they were overflowing the couple of times we went there. Visitors are charged $5 for adults and $2.50 for children, but are allowed to use the pool and other amenities. There are three shower houses, one apparently intended to accommodate the tent sites and the other two on opposite corners of the very large property – it could be a long walk depending on where your site is. There’s only one laundry, with two washers and two dryers; the washers are $2 a load and the dryers $1.50. We found the people in the office to be curt and, although not exactly unfriendly, not particularly welcoming and helpful. Finally, the fire pits are sunken, without anything around them above ground, which I think is a hazard, especially in the dark when it would be easy to fall in them if you were walking through a site without lights on. They do have wi-fi if you’re near the office, but we didn’t use it so we don’t know how good or reliable it is. We would stay here again if we had to be in the area and couldn’t find anyplace else, but would not choose it if another alternative was available.

We don't use all the amenities offered by KOAs, and usually find them expensive for what we get, but we like this campground. The biggest drawback (and it's a big one) is the noise from the highway. Otherwise, the owners and staff are friendly and helpful, the park is clean and well-kept and they have lots of activities for children and things for adults if you want them. When we checked in the owners helped us find the right site, that was big enough for our rig and truck and satellite-friendly. Although we have our own satellite internet access, we found the wi-fi to be among the best we've seen (we were near the office, so that probably helped). We'd stay here again, even though the noise from the highway is a problem.

First, note that this campground has changed its name to WISCONSIN RIVERSIDE CAMPGROUND AND RESORT. I just didn't want to start a new listing because locals and a lot of other people still know it as Bob's. We're here for a week visiting friends in Spring Green and this is a perfect spot. There are only a few big-rig pullthroughs, but lots of back-in sites. It seems to be mostly weekenders, anyway -- the whole place cleared out on Monday morning and we were the only transients left. There is a large section with permanent installations (rvs, park model homes, modular homes, cabins, combinations of all the above) that have clearly been there for years and are not necessarily well kept up, but this is a fishing and vacation camp, not a high-end RV resort. The area is beautiful, the office staff have been friendly and helpful and everything works as it should. The entry parking area is a bit confusing about where to park to check in and if more than one rig were to arrive at the same time (especially if there were a lot of cars also in the lot -- locals rent canoes here for trips on the river) it might be tough, but otherwise directions and ease of access to sites is good. The only other negative is the sunken fire pit at each campsite -- in the dark it would be very easy to fall into one if you're not looking where you're going. Some kind of raised barrier around the pit would be helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

This looks like a big place for people to come on vacation or for weekends. It's a great place for kids, but if you're looking for peace and quiet you won't find it here, especially on a summer weekend. We were here over a weekend and it was packed to the gills but it cleared out by Sunday evening, except for the longer-term section. Trailer Life indicates they have sewer, but they don’t. They have a dump station and a “mobile sewer service” twice a week (Monday and Thursday). If you're here for a week you can get a sewer hook-up for an extra fee. They have only 2 pull-through sites and apparently they are consistently reserved well ahead of time in season. The back-in sites are short, but some of them back up to a lawn area, giving more room if you need it; there is adequate space between sites and they are fairly level. There are lots of children, and what appears to be the area for transient campers is right next to the pool and playground equipment. There’s lots of noise from a nearby road. It’s a pretty campground but clearly older – the interior drives are tricky for a big rig but drivable if you’re careful. Their rules and policies are reasonable, but there is a charge for guests. The liquid manure smell mentioned in another post is was very strong for much of the time we were here. We would come here again if we had to be in the area but probably not by choice if there was any place else to stay that would accommodate our big rig.

This is a bare-bones park, a bit shabby but with friendly, helpful owners, and large-enough sites (we need 55+ feet). Our site had electric and water only, although there are some full hook-up sites that also include sewer and cable connection (and maybe phone). We've stayed here before and would stay here again. This time was only for an overnight, but we've stayed for longer and enjoyed it.

This is a beautiful park and the sites are among the most spacious and private we've seen anywhere. There is lots of space between sites and a large "backyard" with a raised fire pit and picnic table, all surrounded by trees and other vegetation. Access for big rigs is easy and we had ample room to park our truck. The only downside is the lack of hook-ups (we had electric but not all sites do). The dump station is not conveniently located for use on your way out, so we didn't use it, but it could be done.

We were just here overnight, but liked the campground and would stay here again. The only negatives in our view are the lack of 50 amp sites for Passport America (not a huge problem unless we need to run the AC and the microwave at the same time, which we didn't) and the road noise from the interstate, which we found to be significant. Maybe it depends on where you're parked and which way the wind is blowing, since others haven't had a problem. We asked for a site with a view of the sky to accommodate our internet satellite dish and got one with no problem.

Very friendly owners, not on site all the time. It's "pick a site, we'll be around in the evening to collect". This is basically a gravel lot carved out of someone's farmland, but it's a great spot for an overnight stay. The sites are huge and fairly level, with minimal amenities, but the power and water pressure are good and the free wi-fi when we were here worked very well. This is our second stay here and we'd stay again -- it's right off of Highway 54, so convenient if traveling through Kansas that way.

This is a great park. It looks like there are a number of sites that are for seasonal use. There are lots of activities, with walking and biking trails, a pool and playground for kids, plus, apparently, some organized activities on weekends (we weren't there for those, so don't know for sure). They belong to Camp Club USA but the Camp Club rate is only good Mon - Wed. Our pull-through site was more than ample for our 36' fifth wheel and long truck and there is a large grassy area with firepit between each site. There are lots of trees, if you want them, but a number of tree-free sites with good internet or TV satellite access. The campground does not have wi-fi, but that's not a negative for us if we can get our own system to work. We'd definitely come back here -- the only downside is the distance from any town of size for shopping.

Rate with Good Sam discount. Friendly owners, nice, clean park. Large sites accommodate big rigs easily but are a bit close together -- when we put our awning out we nearly touched our neighbor's slide-out. We were able to get our satellite TV so didn't use cable, but it's available. Contrary to other posts and what their literature says, we were able to get wi-fi at our site -- hope it was the campground's and not someone else's! Quiet, convenient, nice place to stay. We're here only for an overnight stay; if we were going to be here longer it would be nice to have a bit more space or some grass to put out our chairs and grill.

We, too, were somewhat reluctant about this park because of earlier negative comments, but found them to be either not representative of current conditions or overstated. We found the office staff to be friendly and helpful, the "big rig" sites are among the largest we've seen and the services are all more than adequate. There are two laundries, both with more than average washers and dryers. We didn't see the "permanent" sites mentioned by others. That doesn't mean they aren't there, but we weren't bothered by them if they were near us. We had to leave two days early because of an emergency and they refunded to us one night's costs, which they did not have to do, but we appreciated. The only negative is that the sites are all gravel, with no grass in between, and if, as it did when we were there, it rains heavily, they tend to puddle extensively. It is definitely a family park and we were there on a holiday weekend, so there were a large number of children, which some people might find off-putting, but we weren't bothered. We would definitely come back here, despite the somewhat pricey rate.

Very friendly people and a nice campground. We were in the back lot which is elevated, so we had great views and clear access for our internet satellite, and the sites are large enough for big rigs with no problem. The sites are all gravel, however, with no grass to speak of and, although the sites are large enough, they feel too close together. They have farm animals and lots of activities for children. All in all we liked this campground a lot and would stay here again. They are Passport America but we didn't know until after we left, so didn't get the discount. Also if you don't have specified directions, it's helpful to know that you reach the campground from the Mesa Verde Park exit -- it's actually on the frontage road and not on the highway itself.

We had a perfectly acceptable time here. Our experience with the office people was positive, our site was large enough for our truck and trailer and everything worked acceptably. The power was a bit worrisome, as the voltage dropped during the day to a dangerously low level, but we didn't have any damage and we just waited until overnight to charge computers and things that might be voltage-sensitive. The views are awesome and the location is great -- within a short drive of several attractions. Our major complaint wasn't with the campground but with the Monument Valley park itself -- be aware that there is a $5 fee to enter the park, even if you just want to go to the Visitor's Center for information. Also, the site access is a bit tight for big rigs, but we had no problem, although we watched a couple of large motorhomes and fifth wheels (38') having to maneuver carefully into sites. We'd stay here again.

We stayed here just overnight but it seems like a much better park than previous reviews would indicate. The sites are large (although not entirely level) and grass. The park is clean and the woman who checked us in (don't know if she's the owner or a manager) was friendly and helpful. The cable tv is good; only downside I saw in services is the lack of wi-fi, but we don't use it anyway. There were several people (I suspect long-term residents) who drove through at speeds considerably in excess of the posted speed limit. The interior roads are nicely paved, which might seem to encourage speeding. We would stay here again. They are no longer Camp Club participants but do give a Good Sam discount.

This is a nice park, very conveniently located for Mono Lake and surrounding area. The owners are friendly, helpful and seem to work hard to keep the park nice. There are a couple of negatives, however: there are several permanent or semi-permanent sites that are neat and clean but definitely on the shabby side; there are very few sites that have cable tv; wi-fi costs $10 per day and only seems to work in some areas. The trees and hills behind the park appear to block satellite tv and internet access to all sites. And they do not take credit cards. Be prepared with cash or a check. But our site is sufficiently long and wide for us to park our truck comfortably and have some (although not a lot) of space between us and our neighbor and the location is great -- in fact there's not a lot else in the area!

Nice campground with friendly owners; Wi-Fi is free but weak in the outer reaches. Great views; no grass and can be really dusty. But basically the only choice in the area for a big rig with FHU. Good power and good water pressure.

We stayed here just one night but it's a more-than-adequate campground for the purpose. I think we'd definitely consider it for a longer stay if we were in the area. Our site was large enough but not overly generous; some of the sites looked like they would pose difficulty getting into and out of because of big differences between the road level and the site. The staff was friendly and helpful They are apparently closed for lunch between noon and 1 or 2 but the woman in the office agreed to check us in anyway when we arrived during that time; no one had told us when we called for a reservation that there might be any problem checking in before the "official" check-in time of 2:00. I assume this isn't a problem, but just be aware that there may not be anyone in the office between 12 and 2.

Typical KOA in that it has lots of recreational features for kids and is expensive if you don't need those features. Very dusty particularly if it is windy as it was when we were there. Our site was roomy, with high shrubs on either side to provide some privacy. Location is convenient; Wi-Fi is strong, at least close to the office; some good sites for internet and tv satellite access.

This is a typical KOA, expensive if you don't need all the amenities and recreational features they offer, but for the location there isn't anything better. The sites are long but not overly wide and there is no grass or other landscaping. They're angled so that you're not necessarily right next to your neighbor's windows, but it's still fairly close quarters. They do allow rig washing in the campground, which is nice; the office staff seems very helpful; the laundry is on the small side but spotless. The cable TV seems good and the Wi-Fi is adequate, if on the slow side. We'll stay here again, for the location if nothing else.

Nice park -- we weren't here long enough to take advantage of all the amenities we paid for, but we would come back for a longer stay if we're in the area. Our site is just barely long enough for our 36' fifth wheel and crew cab truck -- when we leveled there was not enough room to park the truck without angling it under the front of the trailer. There is quite a bit of noise from I-5, particularly since the weather here is generally good enough to keep windows and door open most of the time. But there's a nice grass area with a picnic table next to the concrete site and the site seems pretty level. Water pressure could be better, but power is good. Wi-Fi is the type you have to subscribe to but satellite dishes work well.

This seems like a nice park, although we were there only one night. The sites are narrow, as mentioned earlier, but separation between the rigs is good, with a small grassy area on each site. There was no picnic table at our site, which we find to be a negative, and the grass area wasn't level enough to set up our grill, which had to be put right next to the rig on the concrete slab, and our chairs were wobbly on the grass. We did find the road to be just barely wide enough for us to get our 36' fifth wheel out of the site without sideswiping a pole at the corner. Vehicles parked at the outer limit of a couple of nearby sites didn't help. But on balance it seems like a nice, well-run park, in a convenient location. We would return here, perhaps for a longer stay.

Despite previous poor reviews, we elected to stay here because of its proximity to Seattle. When we got there it looked even worse than we expected but we stopped anyway. They had only one site large enough for our 36' fifth wheel, and the clerk was friendly and helpful, so we checked in and paid for three nights (the cost was a shocking $50 a night). When we got to our site, however, there was still someone in it -- apparently they had overstayed their time by at least 24 hours and were nowhere to be found. So we got our money back and left. Perhaps it was just a screw up in the office (the clerk said their computer had been having problems) and someone extended their stay without making a note of it but whatever happened, it looked like haphazard management. At least they had a list of other campgrounds and let us use their phone to check availability at another place, but it was a serious inconvenience and we're now 15 or so miles further out than we had wanted to be. Another indication of the nature of the park (and I use the term loosely) is that in the park rules they state "maximum occupancy per site is six persons). And our pull through site is set up to be three (yes, three) sites. I would never even contemplate staying here again and would recommend against it to anyone who asked.

Lovely park, very nicely maintained. They must have upgraded the cable tv because ours is great, both in reception and number of channels. Also, contrary to some earlier posts, we're able to get both our satellite TV and internet access. The pull through site we're in is one of the largest we've ever had, plenty of room to park our truck without crowding. The only complaint is that the sites are a bit narrow and very sloped -- our front jacks are extended almost to the max and our sewer hose is running uphill without more-than-usual support. But it's lovely and reasonably convenient to Seattle if you're not traveling during rush hour. Despite the large number of permanent or semi-permanent residents it doesn't have that "trailer park" feel that some campgrounds do that cater to long-term residents.

Expensive for a one-night stay before crossing the border back into the States, but a nice campground. If we wanted to use the showers and rest rooms they're a bit far from our site, but we don't, so it doesn't matter to us. Nice privacy between the sites with shrubs that completely block our view of neighboring rigs. One drawback is that, although you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, the noise from the highway reminds you that you're not.

Nice campground. The sites appear more difficult than they are to get into, although the sites are fairly narrow. The wi-fi wasn't working when we were there. We were there only one night so didn't take advantage of all the entertainment things they appear to have.

This is a great park. The owners are friendly and helpful and the sites are reasonably large and well-spaced. The only downside is the lack of cable TV but that's clearly a choice. We were able to get our satellite internet access from our site but not all sites would be able to get a clear enough view of the sky. But the water pressure was good, the power was good and at the time of year we were there it was not crowded. I think the pull throughs are back-to-back sites, though, so I'm not sure they would be available if the park were crowded. As it was, they were well able to accommodate our 36' fifth wheel and long truck without any problems.

This is a basic park but the owners are nice and helpful. One note: if you want satellite internet access, park up on the hill in the electric and water only sites. The sites down the hill are too low for a dish to see over the trees. It's quiet and has good views of trees, and it's a good stopover point between larger cities in BC.

For some reason the name of the park and its location right on a main street made me apprehensive that it would be small, dirty and cluttered. It is not. We're pleasantly surprised. They have a few extra-large spaces and we got here early enough to get one -- we have more than ample room to park our fifth wheel and long truck. The water pressure is good and there's a grassy space with a picnic table at each of these sites (although not at all). Some of the sites are more shady than others but most have at least some shade. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a basic campground; the best thing about it is that it's right outside the Alaska Marine Highway System terminal so it's convenient if you're taking the ferry or getting off one. The owner seems pleasant and accessible. There is serviceable but not great Wi-Fi but no satellite internet access (at least for us). There is some confusion about the name of the campground, with some databases showing it as Park Avenue RV Park, but it's the same place. Don't know if it's in the process of changing the name or if it goes by both names, but it's a bit confusing.

This is a nice park, with some reservations. There are a limited number of pull-throughs available and none with sewer connections. The sewer connections are all back-in sites. But the views are nice, the people are great to work with and most of the sites are easy to access. The Wi-Fi reaches only about 4 sites. When we stayed there they had a couple of parties of fishermen staying in tents and they tended to keep late hours around the campfire, resulting a certain amount of noise. But basically we like this park.

Attractive location a few miles outside the park; reasonably level sites, although the pull-throughs are a bit narrow. We had no room for chairs or grill outside because of the bushes used to separate the sites. The pull-throughs are electric and water only, and the water pressure was low enough that we had to use our water pump to be able to take a shower. Campground showers are $3 for 5 minutes -- very expensive. Dump station is awkwardly located and can block some sites if there is a line.

Very nice park, conveniently located. We had the "super site", which has FHU and cable in a pull-through site. There are lots of back-ins and sites with fewer services for less money. Campground wi-fi worked well for us but not so much for our next door neighbor, so it does seem to be site-dependent. There's a nice walk along the river and an okay restaurant associated with the resort that's part of the complex. The nicest laundry facilities we've seen anywhere. Drawbacks? Some of the sites are very cramped, although ours was not; it's in the flight path for the airport, so can be noisy; only one dumpster for the whole campground, which seems inadequate, although it didn't seem to be overfilled. We'd definitely stay there again.

This is the best campground in Anchorage, but it isn't great. It's crowded for a big rig, with little room to maneuver if you have to back into a site. They reserve the pull-through sites for caravans which means they are frequently not available for single reservations. We had requested specific sites because of the size of our rig and truck, but were told that e-mails go to a different person and they don't always pass the information to the reservations people. I believe this campground is under new management and perhaps they will improve their service, but we found the front desk people rude, uninformed and insensitive. The location is convenient but that's about all it has to recommend itself, at least to us. We'll stay outside Anchorage next time and drive in to shop.

Very nice park by Alaskan standards. No grass, but large sites, nicely spaced and enough room for a large rig to maneuver easily. The access roads are local residential roads, with many potholes when we were there, and a bit tricky for a big rig, but manageable. Great views all around. The laundry is a bit small for the size of the park, but everything works. The shuttle for the boat tours out of Seward will pick up and return you to the park. We liked this park a lot.

The people who run the park are friendly and helpful. The sites are very long and adequately wide, but awkward because the power pedestals are close together. You have to pull up quite far to get slides out, which is OK if you can still reach the power connection. There are a couple of eyesore permanently installed trailers, but we didn't have any problem with any of the residents. They advertise TV Service, however it means if you have an antenna you might be able to pick up one or two local channels. It is NOT cable TV. Their Wi-Fi is painfully slow and unreliable, although both TV and Wi-Fi are available at the office if you want to walk up there. The park was less than half full when we were there; the sign for turn-in from the highway is easy to miss, although the website and Milepost give clear directions.

We were here the week after Labor Day and the campground was almost empty, although it filled up somewhat the next weekend. We liked the campground a lot, despite the lack of full hook-ups. The sites have electric only. Also, we are in campground #3 and there are only two pull-through sites (I'm not sure about the other wto campgrounds in the park, but I don't think there are any pull-throughs there). The bathrooms and showers are clean, although the showers have a rubber floor that is very hard on the feet. The major disadvantage is the number of flies and mosquitoes that makes it difficult to stay outside for long. There is a walking trail nearby that is great for those cool morning walks.

The park was mostly empty at this time of year. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The sites all appear to be with side-by-side hookups and are very narrow, particularly with slide-outs. There is a cattle auction down the street, which results in occasional smell and noise and the flies when we were here were nearly unbearable. It is convenient to the walking track and to the grocery store and makes a good base for exploring the area, but I would not want to be here when it is crowded.

A very nice, friendly park. The major disadvantage is that it is very close to the interstate, making it very noisy. There is also a motorcycle shop next door, which can be noisy if someone is test-driving a bike. The sites are roomy and there are enough places clear of trees that we were able to use our internet and tv satellites.

Very nice; quiet this time of year. Friendly and well kept. Two small negatives: because of the fire rings and ample supply of wood, nearly every night there was wood smoke from someone's campfire. If you're allergic or simply don't like strong smoke smell, this could be a problem. Second, the laundry facilities are limited, although clean. Very family friendly, with lots of children -- an advantage or disadvantage, depending on whether you travel with children.

We loved this campground, especially for the price (Passport America price). The owners are very friendly; there is "steak night" every Thursday night, which is a big hit both with guests and, apparently, locals. They also had a cookout for Labor Day while we were here. "Pet Friendly" means there are quite a few dogs running around, which can be somewhat noisy and when we were here (over Labor Day weekend) there were lots of children. But by and large the campground was quiet and very nice. We had good satellite internet service (although there are clearly sites that would not be true for) and our Verizon cell phones worked fine. We would definitely stay here again, but it is a long haul to the sights around Custer and the southern end of the Black Hills National Forest.

The campground is mostly neatly kept and the sites were level. The main disadvantage was the water pressure, which was very low, and the voltage, which was also low, even with our 50 amp site. For a big rig the sites are a bit short, and we had a tight squeeze getting out of the site when we were ready to leave. We're 54' with the truck and the fifth wheel and could barely make the turn to the road between sites, mainly because of the placement of power poles and the cars parked across from us. There appear to be a number of long-term or permanent residents, but they were quiet and neat.
